Tuners are Coming to Tulsa Speedway in 2023!!!

Starting the 2023 race season at the Osage Casino & Hotel Tulsa Speedway we will see a new class join the weekly racing program. USRA Tuners have been slated to replace the Mini-Stock Class after 2 seasons of low car counts plagued the class. Nathan Hagar, GM of Tulsa Speedway, has said that every track needs a lower budget beginner type class, and the USRA Sanction provides that class. The tuner class meets the criteria of such. He went on to say that the rules from USRA have designed a class that allows a guy to go to his local salvage yard for vehicles, find a good donor car to build, and find replacement parts when needed. Even race ready cars are out on the market for under $3000 race ready.
The Tuner class will follow sanction with the Modifieds and B-Mods at Tulsa Speedway. Meaning which the drivers in all 3 classes possessing their USRA License can earn Local track points along with National points throughout the season and all 3 classes will earn a track point fund paid by USRA as well as a national point fund.
With Creek County announcing just a few short days ago that they were bringing in the same class. This will allow racers to build cars and have 3 options to race at with Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kansas also being USRA sanctioned.
The USRA rules is a package I believe in. They take care of their racers with point funds, large event races such as the USRA Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway, and a large list of sanctioned tracks that racers know they can race at, know they are legal rules wise, and be able to compete on the highest level, Stated Nathan Hagar.

The 2023 season details will begin to emerge as the off-season begins next week after the Fall Spectacular on November 12th.
